St. Mary’s Catholic Church

Featured here in these aerial drone images is St. Mary’s church in Lismore Pictou County, is the oldest Catholic Church in Nova Scotia built in 1834 by Highland Scots. This wooden church is a masterpiece of pioneer architecture and charm.

The square nails used in building the Lismore church were made by a woman blacksmith (Mrs. Moses Priest) from England. Its small muntin gothic style arched windows help provide some of its charm.
